Job Description

The Tooling/Molding Validation Engineer will be based in Buffalo Grove, IL. The main objective for the role will be: to maintain validation engineering programs, standards, and improvements within the organization.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
• Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
• Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on validation activities.
• Supports Validation Engineers and Program Managers with customer interfaces as necessary on validation related issues.
• Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
• Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Bachelors’ degree Engineering and 7+ years of relevant mold experience in plastics/injection molding.
• Versed in MSA, SPC, Gage R&R, Characterization and Statistical Studies.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques and normality.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills.
• Typically requires skill and troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organizations.
• Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Understanding of Minitab or applicable.

• Prefer prior experience with Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry
• CQE a major plus
• History with TMV (test method validation)
