As Stryker continues to show unprecedented growth, our European Buying Centre in Mahon, Cork is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with excellent business/financial acumen, a strong supply chain background and an ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within a business.
The role is an initial 12-month FTC but due to the growth in Stryker - there are excellent opportunities for permanency.
Develops, communicates, tracks and executes detailed project plans. For assigned projects develops and manages strategy, scope, schedule, costs, resources, and risks. Reports accurate and timely project metrics/status to stakeholders as required.
Creates and maintains appropriate project documentation (e.g., charter, roadmap, resource matrix, dashboard, budget statement, etc.) to meet business goals and program objectives.
Oversees all aspects of assigned project portfolio, ensuring projects are successfully managed through all phases and that the three constraints of time, resources, and budget are properly balanced.
Identifies and escalates unresolved obstacles to the success of the project. Leads resolution of problems that impede project progress.
Manages changes to the project scope, schedule or cost using appropriate project management techniques to ensure project plan is accurate and reflective of current status.
Will periodically provide progress reports to leadership and key functional stakeholders affected by the project.
Serves as a liaison and builds relationships among team members and key stakeholders within the project and program. Translates objectives across the business into project objectives and practices.
Acts as an escalation point; drives collaboration with project team members to resolve conflicts, project issues, and deviations and drives them to resolution.
Responsible for resource planning, including workload allocation and capacity planning to help determine project sequencing. Will work with other project managers and personnel to monitor cost, schedule, and supplier performance (where applicable), while working to ensure the success of the project. Ensures adherence and compliance to quality standards and related regulations.
Manages change; Assesses trade-offs for changes to project scope, schedule, and costs that impact the program and related projects.
Performs activities according to organization's systems and procedures.
Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed action or decision
Experience and Skills Required
Experience in medical device and or any other regulated industry is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, supply chain, or engineering discipline or equivalent required.
Project Management Certification desired.
Minimum of 5 years supply chain / project experience in a regulated industry essential. Has demonstrated ability to successfully plan, prioritise, multitask and organise multi-disciplinary team(s) to successfully achieve large project deliverables.
Ability to lead, motivate and influence a cross-functional team on high complexity projects that does not report directly to this position.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including risk management experience.
Experience with delivering results through Six Sigma and Lean methods is preferred.
Eagerness to assist internal and external customers.
