What you will do:
Provide leadership to the Electrical/Electronic Hardware engineering team and be responsible for people development, motivation, and driving high performance culture.
Identify & develop high potential employees, technical talent, and future leaders in team.
The person in this role will be responsible to provide leadership, mentorship and direction to the team in technical and project/program execution.
Other Responsibilities include -
Driving product engineering engagement for Stryker. Guide Engineers on execution, design, change analysis and design documentation.
Guide subsystem development teams on system interfacing/System engineering topics.
Managing requirements and ensuring design is understood and implemented correctly by the project team
Reliability and Serviceability of the system / subsystem / components
Develop supplier partners for new product development and manufacturing aspects.
Demonstrate domain expertise in medical device design, sustainment engineering, analog/digital design, Circuit analysis/simulations, Systems engineering, Layout review, DFM, EMI/EMC and other hardware engineering aspects.
Coordinate with sourcing and qualifying new parts, also capable of performing capital and piece estimation on new products.
As necessary, Travel within country and internationally to develop collaborative partnerships with remote teams, stakeholders and vendor partners
What you need:
9+ years of experience in electronic hardware/product design, development, and R&D management.
Strong people management skills of team building, talent and competency development. Skilled in following HR processes for talent management, performance review, objective setting and recruiting.
Experience and expertise in medical device design and development is highly desirable.
Experience in leading new product development, product engineering teams. Experience in designing/leading monitor hardware design for ECG, defibrillators, vital monitoring sensors like NIBP, SPO2, CO2 and Wi-Fi, Cellular, motor control is a big plus.
Proven Competency in multiple Hardware engineering skills like electrical system architectures, IEC60601-1, High speed microprocessor, memory-based PC board design, power electronic controls design using motors, MOSFETs.
Experience in project and program management. Ability to manage programs and communicate frequently across all project and business unit stakeholders to ensure project team, Senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues
Ability to proactively foster relationships with global stakeholders to support projects and understand upcoming needs, issues, gaps, etc. Provides updates to critical issues, upcoming requirements, etc. to leadership.
Knowledge of manufacturing process, engineering change process, Design Verification and Validation, Design and Risk Management documents
Excellent analytical skills with effective interpersonal communications skills. Experience in working with regulated industries like Medical devices, Aerospace etc. Understanding of medical device standards and regulations is preferred
