Manage day to day Procurement activities (Corporate Purchasing) for Singapore across all Divisions & Categories. Support and execute strategies for indirect categories whilst working closely with the Category Managers and Shared Services Hub, deliver the best total cost of ownership that effectively meet the business needs and objectives
Ensure Procurement policy implementation and compliance
First line responder, pivots between strategy, operations and transactional sourcing across various Divisions & categories
Support with and build relationships with key divisional stakeholders to manage and facilitate day to day tasks
Proactively seek innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times and customer service levels
Execute the procurement process & compliance including completion of associated documentation (RFx's/Contracts/SOW/bids/justification) and lead supplier negotiations.
Execute and provide support in the commercial relationships for indirect categories, including sourcing, contract and vendor management.
Support in tenders and contract documentation, cost, terms and conditions negotiations with appropriate vendors.
Work closely with the Regional Category Managers to execute the category strategies locally,
Proactively seek opportunities to deliver savings &/or add value to Abbott divisions spend
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and manage expectations.
Implement procurement process, systems and procedures as per SOP to deliver departmental efficiencies enabling better service to the business whilst remaining compliant with Corporate Purchasing and Financial Policy.
Manage the purchase order approval process as per policies & SOP within expected timeframe
Execute & manage Preferred supplier program, Provide assistance to internal customers in relation to supplier and contract management. As required, act as point of escalation between the supplier and internal customer.
Work on project across multiple Categories that impact the team positively.
Perform job responsibilities in accordance with the highest ethical standards. Help and guide internal customers and suppliers in proper procedures to maintain the same ethical standards.
Manage day to day procurement operation, including problem solving, communication of information to both internal stakeholders and suppliers to keep apprised and to prevent problems.
Support in ad-hoc request from Regional Manager, Category Managers and Global team.
Active involvement & Collaboration with all functions
Conduct training for procurement process & policies as required
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related disciplines
5-8 years of experience in Procurement and experience managing multiple categories, preferably within Healthcare/Medical Devices/Pharmaceutical industry
Experience in building and managing supplier relationships
Experience in managing Indirect spend in multiple categories, with Marketing Services being an advantage
Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
Strong understanding of contract management, terms and conditions
Solid knowledge of procurement processes - strategic sourcing, total cost of ownership and vendor management
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and possess strong negotiation skills
Strong people skills, able to function independently whilst being part of a team
Strong analytical, problem solving organizational skills.
Excellent English, oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to manage and build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to achieve objectives and targets
