We are currently looking for a Principal Engineer / Scientist specializing in biomedical signals and algorithms to join our research team in Redmond, WA. This role will focus on creating, refining and validating algorithms that work with ECG and other physiological signals to improve clinical care.
What You Will Do
You will use your understanding of underlying physiology and signal processing to develop smart algorithms that use the information in ECG and other biomedical signals to help clinicians make decisions and/or provide automated delivery of therapy.
You will test prototype algorithms to verify correct implementation in products, and to evaluate performance across sets of clinical data.
You will collaborate with clinical researchers to measure real world algorithm performance and impact on clinical care.
You will partner with colleagues to write scientific publications and materials for regulatory submissions involving biomedical algorithms.
You will take technical responsibility for algorithms in current devices.
What You Need
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or a science discipline (or other related) required
8+ years' experience working with biomedical signal processing and/or algorithm development for medical instrumentation or related experience required
Experience working with surface ECG signals and algorithms that process them
Excellent verbal and written documentation and communication skills in English
Ability to invent, think creatively, and be resourceful
Advanced degree in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or a science discipline
Experience creating classification algorithms dealing with noisy signals
Experience with verification / validation of, and obtaining regulatory approval for, biomedical signal processing algorithms
