What you will do
Provide engineering support for new product or process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed with all the operational needs and capabilities.
Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications.
Will select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements. Work with quality engineers to develop component specific testing and inspection protocols.
May lead/support capital equipment acquisitions, contract negotiation, installation, and validation.
Will analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental test and result analysis. Lead and/or participate in process review meetings.
Develop equipment maintenance procedures and technics to improve uptime.
Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation associated with product transfers and launches.
Complete capability studies for in process inspection and generate subsequent Inspection documentation.
Conduct MSA studies.
Provide training for manufacturing team members.
Ensure adherence to GMP and safety procedures.
Review and approval of validation documentation.
What you will need
5+ years leadership experience or substantial engineering support or project management experience in a team-based environment is required and at least one-year experience managing projects or process improvements initiatives.
B.S in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related engineering discipline
Master degree is a plus
Strong knowledge and demonstration on Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools to work on improvement, problem solving and cost reduction initiatives.
Working knowledge of ProE or Solidworks computer aided modeling and drafting desirable.
Experience of GD&T, process mapping, statistical methods and process/ product validations would prove beneficial.
Excellent PC skills (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Power BI, Power Apps, Minitab, CAD).
Strong knowledge in project management tools essential
