We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst, Sales/Commercial Excellence to support our U.S. Vascular business on the Commercial Excellence (CE) team. The CE team works closely with the commercial and sales teams to understand and influence the key priorities of the business through analysis and reporting of internal and external performance trends. This role will work closely with divisional and area VPs to understand their priorities, highlight performance, and communicate up and down in the organization to maximize the revenue growth and profitability of Abbott's Vascular Products. This position can be located in Santa Clara or Temecula CA, or Austin TX.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
This analyst role will have responsibility for supporting the sales leadership in setting the key priorities, measures and targeting for administrative customers (i.e., IDNs) in collaboration with marketing
Work very closely with sales and division leadership and commercial excellence as the key point of contact for the IDN customers
Develop reporting of the sales trends and results from key initiatives
Partner with the Executive Accounts team to understand the latest changes in the administrative customers and key priorities across the other medical device businesses
Oversee the quarterly cross-functional forecasting process and identify areas to improve the process to assure a consistent forecast is used across different functional groups
Create presentations for executive leadership to summarize sales with comparisons to forecast and other initiatives
Prepare ad hoc analytics to support the needs of the business and sales leadership
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in medical device industry or related sales experience; an advanced credential, such as an MBA, is preferred
Ability to work with and direct others effectively across a matrixed organization and without direct supervision; experience working in a broader enterprise/cross business unit model is preferred
Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across multiple levels in the organization
Demonstrated knowledge of common office software, such as Microsoft Office or Microsoft's Power Suite; experience doing analysis in Excel (or similar tool) is required
Proven ability to create compelling and polished presentations in PowerPoint (or similar tool)
Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with the sales leadership to build positive relationships and achieve common goals
Familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations, and procedures
