Our location in Alameda, CA currently has an opportunity for a Senior Manager -US Commercial Lead.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsible for the IT portfolio for the US Commercial business unit, candidates should have experience in Digital Operations, Sales Operations and leveraging Data Analytics to drive business outcomes. Have a keen understanding of key operational metrics and performance indicators used, and have managed a staff of analysts, influencing business direction and decision making.
Ensures the portfolio enhances organizational strategy through successful, consistent and predictable delivery of programs, projects and applications. Achieves this supported by a team which partners with the business and corporate IT, has excellent understanding of the business processes, is aware of the evolution of technologies, and actively factors in regulations relevant to the business area.
Drive additions and enhancements to the tech stack with privacy and security as one of the guiding principles.
Daily leadership/management of staff members and contractors responsible for tactical execution of Digital Operations, HCP and Consumer Sales Operations, and Commercial Analytics.
Ownership of high-profile growth initiatives in partnership with direct staff, business partners, and the IT Delivery organization
Operates as the escalation point for all of US Commercial IT Operations and works to collaborate, de-escalate and problem solve.
Influences business stakeholders on best practice strategies and proactively identifies areas of opportunity to apply IT for new business opportunities, process improvements, and cost efficiencies.
Function as the connective tissue between the business and the central IT Delivery organization, driving programs forward, aligning program and business timelines, and working with IT Delivery to determine cost estimates and implementation timelines
Effectively communicates upward on roadmap, commitments, and potential challenges
Champions change and innovation. Stimulates creativity and innovation in others while being open to new ideas and supporting those who initiate change and take risks.
Manages US Commercial IT budget in partnership with Global Commercial IT Director
Continually looks for opportunities for cost optimization and cost avoidance.
Directly manages up to 4 Business Analysts, and 60 indirect reports and project staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or equivalent business experience. Healthcare industry a plus.
10-12 years of IT or business experience in large or midsized corporations, preferably within the Healthcare industry.
Experience with IT Strategy
Broad IT or business expertise in various disciplines like application development or cloud infrastructure.
Have successfully worked with a SCRUM Agile team and educated business and IT teams through Agile transformation and/or adhering to Agile principles.
Experience with leading large scale, cross-functional implementations.
Experience in setting IT or business strategy and business IT alignment. Strong program and project management skills.
Previous management of a $10MM+ budget a plus.
Experience leveraging enterprise analytics tools and technologies
Direct experience leading governance boards of large multi-disciplinary projects.
Strong interdisciplinary, and excellent intercultural influence, and networking skills.
Strong influence and negotiating skills. Experience leading teams - both with direct staff and indirect project teams.
