Fairview Health Services is looking for an Emergency Department Technician at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN.
The Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges (Burnsville, MN) is a 40 bed unit, serves patients of all ages, from pediatric to adults, and incorporates a multidisciplinary approach to all emergencies.
The ED Tech will work on an interdisciplinary team consisting of Board Certified/Eligible ED Physicians, RNs, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, and Transport Aides. Casual position requiring 48 hours every quarter including 50% of those being on weekends or holidays.
The ED Tech is responsible for direct and indirect patient care including, but not limited to:
Assisting with Ortho procedures and vital signs
Keeping the area stocked and organized with supplies
Completion of Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) coursework or Nursing Assistant coursework.
Ability to provide written validation of current basic life support competency
1 year ERT experience
Emergency Room Technician (ERT) or CNA certification or EMT certification
