WHAT YOU'LL DO
Leads and directs all marketing activities for the assigned product line(s) or business including P&L responsibility. Responsible for the development, management, and execution of strategies, innovation, and tactical programs to effectively achieve commercialization, profit margin and business plan objectives. Directs and supervises a staff including one or more Brand Managers and Advertising/ Promotions Managers. Additional responsibilities include development of innovation pipeline, long-term equity management, strategic business planning, forecasting, Adverting Promotions & Gratis (AP&G) budget management, financial analysis, and project management.
Responsible for directing all marketing activity associated with brand across HCP and Direct to Consumer channels of business.
Develop and provide strategic planning and commercial input to the development of the assigned product line. Direct the analysis of the business; oversee the identification of key segment business drivers, priorities, and growth opportunities.
Establish marketing strategies for product(s) including advertising/promotions, pricing strategy, distribution channel management, product development, tactical plan development and execution including the activation of National TV.
Participate in the development of business plans, identify areas of concern, and modify marketing programs to address changes in the marketplace.
Develop and execute national product education, publication, and promotional activities to effectively communicate the strategic positioning and lifecycle development of products to customers.
Determine and manage the allocation of product budget to maximize ROI.
Develop and execute financial models, market distribution, and launch plans, pricing/reimbursement strategy, distribution/ service strategy, situation analysis and assessment of opportunities, ongoing surveillance of emerging technologies and competitive activities, advisory boards and focus groups.
Assess new indications and potential market expansion opportunities.
Drive product positioning and competitive selling strategies as well as provide leadership in managing the logistics, market share and revenue of the product.
Present brand and marketing programs to Sr. Management.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. These groups include external customers and consumers, Field Sales, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Logistics, Public Affairs, Marketing and Executive Management and external vendors or agencies.
ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE / BUDGET:
Commercial Marketing- Responsible for multiple product lines and/or a significant business or product line. Incumbent is accountable for all aspects of managing the product line including P&L. Actions and decisions can affect attainment of Therapeutic and Division financial goals and objectives.
7-10 years of progressively responsible product management experience in either health care & Consumer packaged goods or OTC marketing
Financial and budget management experience and skills.
Demonstrated effective leadership competencies.
Demonstrated leadership and success in project management.
Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business plans.
Strong analytical skills including experience with financial models.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Education Requirements: BA/BS Degree in Marketing. MBA strongly preferred due to the business complexity and P&L responsibility of the position.
