Primary Job Function
Define most optimal media mix offering to Abbott EDP Russia-CIS portfolio
Bring most relevant digital innovations to EPD business for the region
Ensure Digital managers continue to partner with respective leaders for best-in-class business outcomes
Core Job Responsibilities
Determine the best media mix for promotional strategies for Abbott EPD portfolio
Elaboration of smart mix of key media channels (TV, Digital, Radio, OOH) based on proposal from agencies, econometric analysis, market benchmarks
Strategic media planning, defining the right balance between TV and Digital investments
Define Media strategies for Abbott brands, priorities and goals and ensure that media tactics are aligned with brand business objectives
Negotiation with media channels to close competitive deals
Drive internal media buying expertise
Set up approach of data-driven and insights-driven media & digital analytics for Marketing teams
Drive budget efficiencies and optimization by recommended modern marketing solutions and efficient agency management
Monitor best practices and trends in emerging technologies and apply to EPD Abbott as relevant
Proactively research, recommend and develop/adapt/implement technologically innovative solutions to enhance current digital tactics
Manage and develop a team of subordinates
Conduct business activities in compliance with ethics and legal requirements
Internal and External Stakeholder Management:
Understand the needs and expectations of internal stakeholders (functional leaders, senior leaders, etc.) and external stakeholders (e.g. regulatory/compliance entities, governments, associations, etc.). Initiate, maintain, and tactfully influence relationships with various medical and non-medical stakeholders. Align the interests of different stakeholders to drive common goals, driving aggressive reconciliation when necessary. Proactively engage to build relationships to influence policy makers
Recruit, develop, and retain key talents and high performers. Keep the workforce motivated and engaged toward common goals. Anticipate capability trends in the responsible area and prepare the Abbott-wide talent pipelines for both short- and long-term business needs including for own position. Challenge, support and grow people. Coach them to become self-sufficient and contribute at high levels.
Background and capabilities required:
5+ years of proven working experience as Media Buying manager, Digital lead, Marketing manager both on agencies and clients' side
Experience in planning campaigns in all media - TV, digital, sponsorship, outdoor, press, radio, special projects
Strong digital expertise and understanding of digital landscape
Pharmaceutical experience would be considered as a plus but not mandatory
Proven experience of team management and people development
Excellent presentation and communication skills, cross-functional team player
High analytical skills and knowledge with ability to develop and analyze metrics, media & digital analytics, predictive analytics and dashboarding
