Solution Engineer IT-Plant Automation
You will be a member of Abbott's global Divisional IT team of the Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD). You will partner with the IT Business Relationship Manager for Automation and the local automation and IT teams to run projects for manufacturing sites and or global Operations business functions. It is a unique opportunity to fulfil a linking pin role between IT and the local Automation teams. Main tasks and responsibilities
All-round pragmatic Solution Engineer working in the field of Operations IT.
Realization and deployment support of technical system solutions with comprehensive knowledge in Operations IT domains such as MES, OEE, and Plant Automation.
Provide technical advice on system architecture, integration, and interfacing while maintaining alignment with policies, technical guidelines, and EPD's roadmap.
Under general supervision, realizes various MES, OEE, OsiPI and other Plant Automation implementation projects of a complex nature, often in cooperation with vendors and/or technical contractors.
Identify, request, and coordinate new hardware & software for projects or for upgrading legacy systems
Assist or coordinate system implementation of servers, clients, interfacing, application, training, and (validation) documentation
Assist sites with resolution of system incidents (only during aftercare period), or initiate engagement of relevant internal and external support groups to resolve incidents
Authors, reviews, and approves project and technical documentation within EPD or Corporate System Life Cycle policies
Skills & Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a large or midsized multinational organization.
Expert of Production Processes and related Software and Systems which includes
Processes: production planning, batch recording, production orders, etc
Systems: applications and solutions like MES, OEE, OsiPI, Building Management systems and other Plant Automation software
Good understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, network, firewalls), OT networks (PLCs, HMI's, etc.), Cybersecurity, and best-practices in these fields
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience with application upgrade and implementation projects in complex corporate environments.
Pre - Experience with software validation lifecycle principles (GAMP 5) and/or working in a regulated industrial environment (such as Pharmaceuticals or Food sector).
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant discipline.
Relevant training in automation domain, e.g. ISA95, ISA99.
Relevant training and experience in Project Management.
IT Certifications: ITIL, PRINCE2/PMI appreciated but not mandatory.
Other preferred qualifications/certifications: GAMP5
