Abbott Diabetes Care in Wiesbaden is looking for a
Data Steward (m/f/d)
The role is in Abbott Diabetes Care division and its business model for the EMEAP (Europe, MIddle East & Africa/Pakistant) region. Her/His focus will be FreeStyle Libre, a breakthrough technology of Flash Glucose Monitoring in the Diabetes Healthcare market. Freestyle Libre is directly available for clients/patients on our webshops and in different reimbursement distributions channels such as pharmacies. Patients pay for it themselves or they are Reimbursement by healthcare authorities. Our customers are People with Diabetes and Health Care Professionals.
The role is located in Wiesbaden (Frankfurt area) within the EMEAP Business Operations Team.
In essence the role is to be the custodian and enabler of data quality. To connect with several stakeholders and their data sources to ensure best quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Build, design, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems
Develop and implement meta-ID concept to be able to connect data silos even with aggregated data
Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables and compliance with comprehensive policies and processes, both at Area Level as well as Local (Country)
Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables
Oversee the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, both on a project-by-project basis as well as from an infrastructure perspective
Develop, design and implement data quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, legal and regulatory requirements, including full GDPR compliance
Drive cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Marketing, Analytics, IT, Regulatory and other Key Functions
Create continuous improvement and learning cycles by implementing several waves of "Test & Learns" (fail fast, learn more quickly)
Ability to analyze raw data to check for data inconsistencies, patterns and bugs
Plan end-to-end data pipelines using multiple data sources with concrete work packages
Develop data products with serious focus on privacy by design
EDUCATION AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences or similar field. (MS Degree is preferred)
Min. 5-7 year experience
Exhaustive working knowledge of data architectures, data mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources
Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
Experience on building and managing databases
Data governance certifications
Exposure to programming and SQL in earlier roles
Extensive background in AWS and Azure
Experience with AWS tools such as Athena, AWS Transfer Family, Sagemaker, Cognito.
Experience on Salesforce Service Cloud
Strong ability to plan, manage and enroll numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and collaboration skills - team player
Experience with big data tools and testing tools
Fluent in English another EU language is a preference
