Abbott Ireland Diabetes Care Division Donegal

The Abbott Diabetes Care division based in Donegal Town manufactures FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre system.

The position will be based in The Embankment Sligo

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The primary objective of the Financial Analyst is to plan, control, administer, interpret and report the financial performance both to management at plant level and externally at division level and beyond.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the production and analysis of monthly and annual financial reports.

• Deputise in absence of Controller.

• Prepare Plan and Update for submission to Division.

• Maintain and issue standard cost data.

• Prepare and co-ordinate all Financial Planning.

• Prepare inputs to monthly management report.

• Account for Capital & Employment Grants

• Prepare monthly depreciation.

• Prepare RCE's and monitor capital expenditure.

ACCOUNTABILITY/SCOPE

Reports to the Controller.

EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Commerce or similar third level qualification.

• At least 3 years relevant experience in a similar business or educational environment preferred.
