WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Analyze, prepare, and interpret statistical and financial results using demographic and enrollment data, overall benefit plan performance, utilization, and program metrics and trends. 
• Assist in preparing reports, proposals, and supporting the management of new benefit proposals, initiatives and systems to support the Benefits Practice Center.
• Assess performance of benefit vendors through a data-driven approach (e.g., financial, utilization, and quality).
• Understands when to escalate to management vendor performance issues or potential employee impacts.
• Coordinate and schedule large scale and/or special benefit events and activities to enhance program knowledge, including cross-functional and employee presentations.
• Ensure adherence to internal and external compliance, legal and regulatory standards including but not limited to HIPAA certifications, Affordable Care Act reporting and IRS required reporting.
• Manage administrative appeals in collaboration with benefit administration system and internal legal contacts.
• Facilitate ongoing relationships with benefit vendors/consultants to develop contracts, establish annual performance goals and ensure high quality delivery of benefits services to employees and retirees.
• Provide customized research on benefits topics and support surveys and benchmarking as required.
• Support the team in management of project plans and coordinate execution of benefit programs and projects.
• Oversee data integrity of system data, expedite root cause analysis and resolution of all issues by collaborating with HRIS, Payroll and the benefit administration vendor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Based on experience this position can be either a Specialist or a Senior Specialist

Required Qualifications

• Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to work within a team and as in individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation and professional speaking skills
• Capable of handling multiple tasks, problem resolution, prioritization and attention to detail
• Demonstrated analytical and numerical skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant subject area

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of benefits, managed care or health care experience
• Experience working with providers and/or vendors, including account and contract management
• Project management experience or exposure to managing multiple projects
