ABOUT THIS POSITION
Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Senior Manager Market Insights. The primary responsibilities of this position are to lead established business and innovation market research in the collection, analysis, synthesis, and storytelling presentations of insights to guide decisions for our Global product portfolio tactics and strategies.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Be a subject matter expert on customer and consumer insights to define business growth opportunities and marketing strategies.
Be the insights lead on division and business units projects by developing and implementing voice of customer learning plans for new product development and established products.
Be an expert in creating and executing qualitative and quantitative primary market research among relevant stakeholders such as laboratory personnel, physicians, patients, consumers, clinicians, allied health professionals, and public and private payors.
Create and implement best practices for conducting primary marketing research and disseminating learning, and identify cross-business unit opportunities for new research tools.
Ensure the most appropriate methodologies are used to ensure that business unit stakeholders have the most comprehensive understanding of Global customer needs and market trends.
Proactively partner with cross-functional teams to increase business understanding and identify key opportunities.
Provides strategic advice to executives, contributing to the development of long-term organizational strategy
Establish a productive work environment by creating trust and respect within the team and stakeholders.
Build related business case(s) to quantify the impact of new opportunities within the business.
Translate data and information into compelling insight stories that drive business decisions and growth.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's Degree: Market Research, Business, MBA, Psychology, Sociology, or Economics.
8+ years working in a matrix environment with experience in customer insights, market research, or competitive intelligence.
Expertise in qualitative and quantitative market research for new product development, pricing, segmentation, and advertising development and measurement.
Creative business problem solving by analyzing situations and applying critical thinking to resolve.
Strong storytelling and communication skills and the ability to influence senior levels of the organization and cross-functional teams.
Understand business and market levers and drive insights into actions.
