Overview: The CCO is a senior executive responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Company's global corporate compliance and ethics program and strategy. The Company’s compliance and ethics program is designed in accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines (and other applicable governmental guidance) and implemented to effectively detect, respond, and prevent compliance and ethics issues and promote an ethical and compliant culture that aligns with Syneos’ core values. The CCO also is responsible for ensuring the program adapts over time to changes in regulation, the life sciences industry, and the evolving needs and risk profile of the organization. The position will report to the General Counsel with a dotted line to the Audit Committee of the Board and will supervise a team of 50.

Experience: Syneos Health is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and strategic attorney with at least 15 years of experience at a law firm/federal or state prosecutor’s office and in-house, preferably with experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, biotechnology, medical device and/or healthcare industries, including experience as a Chief Compliance Officer or other senior-level compliance program leadership role, to lead Syneos’ global corporate compliance and ethics program. Management experience is required.

Compensation: A competitive compensation package consisting of base salary, bonus and equity will be offered for this position, consistent with the candidate’s level of experience.

Location: Fully remote, with a preference for candidates located on the east coast, ideally, Raleigh, NC
