A Medical Technologist:
Performs analyses inhematology, chemistry urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank and microbiologyaccording to expected performance standards.
Performs venipuncture,finger stick, or heel stick on identified patients by physician's request in atimely, accurate and caring manner.
Keeps documented recordscurrent regarding maintenance and quality control.
Meets the lab servicegoals as scheduled or report problems to lab director.
Promotes adherence tothe Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate Compliance Agreementby monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to complianceissues.
As a Medical Technologist you will have:
B.A. / B.S. orequivalent in Medical Technology or related clinical field.
Valid state Clinical LabScientist license if required by the state.
1-2 years experience inclinical laboratory.
Excellent oral andwritten communication and interpersonal skills.
Skilled in usingapplicable laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, meters, microscopes,incubators, pipettes, autoclaves, and sterilizers.
Ability to work quicklyand accurately when under strict deadlines.
Considerable knowledgeof the theory and practice of clinical laboratory methods and instrumentation.Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, laboratory medicine, diseaseprocesses, and laboratory procedures.
Ability to maintainconfidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to assure patientand/or employee rights are protected.
Must have good andregular attendance.
Performs other relatedduties as assigned.
