Position Summary:

Through excellence and leadership in patient care, education and research, the Department of Urology will provide its patients with the absolute best in innovative, less invasive urological care; its residents with a superb curriculum based on educational and operative training experience; and its faculty with every opportunity to excel clinically while teaching and pursuing research both a basic and clinical nature.
Provide broad oversight for Dr. Mauney's and Drs. Landman and Clayman's laboratory and management in preclinical translation research. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent performs independent and innovative research projects involving animal surgical models for medical device development and evaluation. The incumbent is responsible for the design and implementation of experiments, investigates and develops new methodologies, resolves scientific problems, conducts data analysis and prepares results for publication.
Compensation Range:
$28.83 - $34.45

4 years of experience in animal surgical models of tissue regeneration and animal husbandry Generation and organization of laboratory research data.
Ability to define problems, identify relevant factors, develop innovative techniques to solve research problems, compile data and make recommendations. Skill for performing general lab maintenance. Computer skills include Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Excel, EndNote and GraphPad Prism. Experience managing multiple research projects. Demonstrated organizational and record keeping skills with meticulous attention to detail. 4 years of experience in animal surgical models of tissue regeneration and animal husbandry Generation and organization of laboratory research data.
Preferred:
Desired: Strong background in regenerative medicine. Desired: Knowledge of university purchasing procedures. Desired: Ability to work flexible working hours/schedule.
Special Conditions Required:
Occasional weekend work is required for animal husbandry and educational courses.
