The Supervisory Medical Technologist provides first line supervision to Transfusion Medicine, Apheresis and Blood Banking. In addition, this position acts as a liaison to other departments of the medical center and has a critical role in ensuring that the laboratory abides by all Joint Commission, Food and Drug Administration, American Association of Blood Banks and VHA rules, as well as, maintaining the Laboratories Joint Commission accreditation.
