Edwards is looking for a Legal Analyst to join the Law Department’s Healthcare Regulatory group to work within a specialized team. The Legal Analyst will be responsible for timely review and analysis of advertising and promotion pieces and clinical contracts, as well as assisting with legal regulatory tasks as needed. The Legal Analyst will closely partner with Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and other functional groups within each of Edwards’ business units, as well as corporate IT, Information Security, and Compliance and will require a thorough understanding of each of Edwards’ business units and the products they manufacture and sell. The Legal Analyst reports directly to the Director, Regulatory Counsel.
Work Schedule: Position is hybrid, candidate must live within driving distance from Irvine, CA.
Reviews and advises on a variety of advertising and promotional pieces, including print and digital ads, social media campaigns, speaker presentations, and other materials to determine compliance with applicable regulations and policies and assess corporate risk.
Provides essential client and attorney support regarding various types of clinical contracts at Edwards.
Supports training of business partners regarding the clinical contract process.
Assists with managing playbooks, presentation decks, templates, review guides, and job aides.
Identifies, develops, and recommends process improvement solutions.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: negotiating clinical contracts, advertising and promotion review in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, and/or providing general legal regulatory support in another regulated industry.
Paralegal certification preferred.
Background in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or related healthcare industry preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, including collaborative and relationship management skills.
Excellent independent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
