Job Summary A CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management System Administrator manages the Health Technology Management HTM medical equipment database in accordance to CMS/Joint Commission regulation and the BCH HTM Medical Equipment Management Plan MEMP. Duties include, but are not limited to: CMMS change management control on specific assets, database codes, etc.; standardization of asset attributes and schedules; management of medical device risk classification within the database; assessment of new medical devices for proper implementation into the CMMS; management of RTLS real time location system integration and management of rules. The BCH HTM CMMS is a product built on the ServiceNow platform. The CMMS Administrator will be responsible for developing workflows in the database to best support HTM's current operations and future initiatives.
This CMMS Administrator will be responsible for:
Controlling asset change management including inventory management and device standardization to maintain integrity of the CMMS database
Maintaining medical device risk classification and Alternative Equipment Management program scoring including assessment of new devices and reassessments of existing devices in accordance to the MEMP
Implementing and maintaining medical device preventive maintenance schedules to maximize efficiencies and support a high level of compliance
Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards for department leadership, technical staff, and internal customers in order to track data integrity, workload, staff productivity, and other department metrics
Leveraging capabilities of CMMS, such as creating checklists, procedures, parts inventory, contracts, customized reporting, life cycle evaluation, etc.
Managing creation of projects and associated work orders required for larger scoped tasks: FDA/medical device manufacturer hazard alerts/recalls, incident investigations, implementation projects, device upgrades, etc.
Educating staff on use of the CMMS including basic actions and more advanced reporting. Education may be for HTM technical staff or internal customers.
Managing the integration of RTLS data into the CMMS as well as implementing and maintaining rules created to utilize RTLS data for medical device management.
Maintaining a library of device specific manuals, instructions, and checklists within the CMMS
Maintaining knowledge of current regulatory codes and standards related to medical device and CMMS management.
In order to qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree
3 years of experience in CMMS Management or related field
Experience in medical device equipment management and related regulatory oversight in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Skills in data integrity and standardization management as well as organizational and time management skills.
High level of computer literacy and the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Strong oral and written communication skills including development and execution of presentations.
Ability to interact and communicate with technical staff, department leadership, and hospital clinical personnel.
