Medical Technician

These positions are located within the Pathology and Laboratory Service at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, IA. The Medical Technician performs procedures in the areas of chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, and specimen procurement and processing. To qualify for this position at the GS-7 level, you must meet one of the following: ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
