What Data Management and Governance contributes to Cardinal Health
The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.
Data Management and Governance provides direction of data assets and is responsible for data strategy, quality, standards and service levels. Data management acquires, validates, standardizes, enriches, protects and publishes structured, third party and unstructured data for use by the business. Governance defines and implements policies, standards and metrics that ensure the effective and efficient use of trusted data and statistical models to support regulatory and business goals.
The Advisor, Data Management & Governance role is to monitor and provide direction to the Product Master Data Services department to ensure that information provided in the Master Data Platforms and that system is accurate and updated timely. This person should have extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical and over-the-counter products, and be able to understand the usage of this data in the various healthcare provider settings. The Advisor, Data Management & Governance role also serves as the liaison to the Cardinal Corporate Quality and Regulatory Affairs department. This position will involve working with complex processes, and procedures and requires strong problem solving and analytical skills. This person must function within a team environment with demonstrated ability in collaborating with others and have a proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change. Working with department management to coach and update staff on technical issues is a key element of the role, along with monitoring data quality within the department management group to ensure the quality standards and targets are met.

Assist in handling routine responses to data and information requests.
Quality and Regulatory.
Fielding and responding to technical questions related to the Product Master Data and relevant data.
Fielding and responding to technical questions from both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Participate in corporate-wide initiatives related to data quality and regulatory affairs
Communicate with Cardinal management personnel to inform them of regulatory procedures.
Integrate new quality and regulatory processes into the Product Master Data department.
Understand the system structure at Cardinal Health as it relates to the utilization of the product master data and supporting third party data files.
Interface with IT to assist with development of the product master item file database system enhancements regarding quality and regulatory needs through Alteryx Workflow and Microsoft Excel programs
Analyze quality and regulatory-related data and provide recommendations for enhancements to processes and coding.
Cross-train and support other Database Editors for data related tasks/projects and act as a back-up when needed.
Contribute to query development to assist with analysis or presentations.
Conduct information sessions for internal and external customers as needed.
Complete special assignments as assigned by your Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or other Healthcare subject preferred
2+ years of experience within the Healthcare industry, Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
Understanding of Hazardous Materials, and Quality and Regulatory or similar experience
Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and medical devices is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications; Word, Excel and Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
Detail Oriented, Flexible and Organized.
Interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Proven analytical ability coupled with experience in problem solving and issue resolution.
