The Department of Medicine is seeking a Sr. Programmer Analyst to assume responsibility for various computer systems and computer application projects within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for working on various computer systems and computer application projects within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Applies analysis techniques to gather business and clinical requirements and then translate them into functional/technical specifications and designs.
Analyzes needs of Gastroenterology and Hepatology providers and staff in clinical or office environment.
Proposes system scope and objectives based on user-defined needs.
Assists the Division?s clinical and translational research unit with computer application development projects.
Serves as an administrator of clinical scheduling software, manages its architecture and stored data. Leverages available online applications to build and maintain a centralized Divisional resource hub that contains policies, procedures, as well as forms for submitting common requests.
Builds automated business workflows by using available online applications.
Graphically documents business workflows.
Manages Divisional IT policies and documents them in the Divisional resource hub.
Oversees Divisional computer assets in office and clinical environment, and the replacement of those assets.
Maintains database and backend configurations.
Helps develop and manage business decisions support dashboard.
Assists with configuration, installation, testing and upgrade of clinical software and hardware.
Provides guidance and training on clinical software or hardware to Gastroenterology and Hepatology providers and staff.
Evaluates service agreements for clinical software or hardware.
Assists with the procurement of new clinical software or hardware.
Helps manage user access to resources on internal servers.
Participates in patch installation, hardware installation and systems monitoring.
Collaborates with various departments and external vendors as a Divisional liaison.
Assists with other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a closely related field,
Three years of relevant professional experience, including three years of experience with each of the following: EPIC Systems, QGenda, and the installation and management of medical device software applications.
