The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a working technical leader, keep up to date records and maintain data bases, coordinate preventive maintenance work orders and general repair and upkeep of building and equipment in the plant. This position will assist in training and development of the Maintenance Technician?s work force within the department/area assigned. Responsible for assigned work orders and unscheduled maintenance and repairs of equipment. Serve as leader to the facilities group when needed.
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor in accordance with the Preventive Maintenance schedule.
Ability to interpret technical writing and procedures. Ability to read engineering drawings. Ability to use a personal computer equipped with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ensure proper set-up of production machines and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications at the completion of assigned tasks.
Adhere to plant policies/procedures, department EHS rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP?s), ISO 9002 regulations and Good Housekeeping procedures.
Shall operate in a manner that protects the health and safety of its employees/visitors and operate in a manner that conserves energy, natural resources and protects the environment.
Complete all pertinent paperwork pertaining to the assigned tasks and maximum system being produced according to established guidelines in manufacturing procedures.
Report any unusual or unacceptable circumstances to supervisor.
Responsible to observe department?s regulations and to use personal protective equipment as required, must be safety conscious and Lockout/Tagout trained.

One-year certificate from college or technical school (machinist, engineering technology) preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience.
4-5 years medical device manufacturing related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
Ability to calculate rate and percent and interpret basic graphs. Basic Metrology knowledge.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to make rational decisions in the absence of supervision.
Must be proficient in the use of small hand tools and electrical hand tools.
Must be proficient with necessary measuring equipment (Dial calipers, micrometers, gages, et.)
Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
Must have the ability to accept and work with constant change. Must be a team player.
