What Production Set-up and Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.
Sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.

Shift Details:Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED preferred
Degree in related field (electrical/mechanical, HVAC, or welding certification) preferred
Understanding of FDA regulations surrounding the manufacturing of medical devices, and GMPs preferred
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools preferred
Responsibilities
Install and connect motors, compressors, control units, fans, evaporators, etc.
Fabricate metal and equipment, install and join ducts, pipes, valves, filters and plumbing lines based on blueprints and equipment specifications
Construct, install, maintain, paint and repair exterior structures, walls, ceilings, floors, roofs, doors, etc.
Connect units to electrical sources, set thermostat control, pressure and refrigerant controls as required
Maintain and repair equipment - remove, disassemble, clean and replace worn or defective parts and filters, maintain PM?s of equipment, clean and vacuum vents and ducts, order and maintain equipment spare parts inventory
Design and size duct work and rooftop air units - assist with HVAC control system
Maintain and repair facility water systems and treatment
Inspect, repair, replace and maintain safety and fire equipment
Use a variety of hand/welding tools and equipment, cutting and bending tools, and power operated drills
Comply with statutory responsibility under the national/federal regulations - take reasonable care of your own health, safety and welfare along with teammates that may be affected by your acts at work
Follow established EH&S procedures and policies and encourage teammates to follow them
Participate in EH&S activities such as: root cause analysis, finding solutions, implementing improvements, inspections, and meetings
Complete and remain up to date on required EH&S training
Follow all ISO 13485, GMP, OSHA and plant/corporate standards, policies, and procedures
Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed
Report all safety incidents, hazards, and potential unsafe working conditions
Work overtime as required
