OverviewThe Mobile Dispatcher coordinates emergent and non-emergent requests for patient transportation to/from medical centers and is responsible for the processing, triage, dispatch and coordination of rotor-wing (Air Mobile) and ground ALS, BLS, WC, Neonatal - Pediatric, and Critical Care transports from the Communications Center located in Raleigh, NC. Responds to requests for transport, collects pertinent demographic data, determines and contacts appropriate accepting physician, appropriate transport unit division or agency, obtains bed assignments for transported patients, maintains the transport database utilizing real time data entry, and provides transport crews with all necessary information.
