Performs routine repairs on a broad range of electromechanical medical equipment using basic test equipment and repair tools. Prepares and maintains related documentation.
Performs preventative maintenance testing of routine electromechanical medical equipment according to established procedures.
Understands medical device regulations and ensures assigned medical devices are managed in compliance with those regulations.
Participates in inspection tours of clinical and/or research areas using medical equipment.
Documents all service actions and complies with documentation guidelines and metrics defined in department policy.
Builds and maintains customer relationships and independently manages clinical resource area(s).
Acts as a technical resource for clinical customer base. Consults and collaborates with peers to resolve outstanding issues.
Provides excellent customer service, defining problems, developing solutions, and performing follow-up. Keeps customers apprised of statuses and estimated completion dates.
To qualify, you must have:
Associate's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.
2 years of related work experience may substitute for minimum educational requirement.
Ability to use analytical skills to troubleshoot electromechanical devices.
Ability to adhere to processes, policies, and procedures by leveraging internal and external technical resources to understand and complete device maintenance procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to provide effective customer service.
Ability to meet priorities within set timeframes.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
