Work Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts, 6am-6pm, rotating weekends
- Provides patient care and treatments according to policy and procedure, ensuring care is appropriate to the patient’s age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs.
- Assists the healthcare team under the direction of a registered nurse, including identifying patient needs, obtaining nursing history, and reporting abnormalities.
- Maintains patient safety by following isolation protocols, using protective equipment appropriately, practicing proper hand hygiene, and responding effectively in clinical emergencies.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members while maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Accurately documents and reports procedures in accordance with department policy and actively participates in quality improvement and ongoing professional development initiatives.
Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Work Experience:
• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required] OR
• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Required] OR
• Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required]
Pay Range:
